ADHD Assessment
Do You Suspect You Might Be Neurodivergent?
Exploring ADHD Through a Neuro-Affirming Lens
Do you experience challenges with time management, organization, or focus?
Have you ever been called “lazy” or “scattered” when, in reality, your brain just works differently?
Maybe you’ve felt misunderstood because others don’t see how hard you’re trying.
You might find routine tasks overwhelming, yet you can hyper-focus for hours on something that excites you.
Perhaps masking your ADHD traits in social settings leaves you drained, or you’ve been misdiagnosed in the past, making it difficult to fully understand your experiences. ADHD is more than just attention difficulties—it affects how you process the world, regulate emotions, and engage with your passions.
At the same time, ADHD comes with incredible strengths. Many ADHDers are highly creative, innovative, and adaptable. You might thrive in fast-paced environments, think outside the box, and naturally gravitate toward leadership.
If you’re seeking clarity about whether ADHD is part of your neurotype, we’re here to help—without judgment, shame, or stigma.
If you are wondering if you are An ADHD-eR and would like to explore assessment, the clinicians at Neuron and Rose are here to help.
ADHDers Experience the World Differently—And That’s Okay
ADHD isn’t just about focus or forgetfulness—it’s a unique way of thinking, feeling, and engaging with the world. Research shows that ADHD runs in families and is a natural variation in brain wiring, not a deficit. Yet, many ADHDers seek assessment when they face challenges navigating a world designed for neurotypical minds.
You may experience impulsivity, restlessness, or difficulty with organization and time management. Perhaps you’ve been unfairly labeled as “lazy” or “unmotivated” when, in reality, you’re putting in more effort than others realize. Maybe emotional intensity is a major part of your experience, or you find yourself masking your traits to fit in. Even everyday tasks—like remembering appointments, sending emails, or following through on plans—might feel overwhelming.
At Neuron & Rose, we offer two ADHD assessment options: the Focused and the Deep Dive. Both are conducted by licensed clinicians who specialize in neurodivergent-affirming practices—many of whom are Autistic, ADHD-ers, or AuDHD-ers. No matter which path you choose, you’ll receive expert care grounded in the latest best practices, ensuring you get the clarity and support you deserve.
ADHD— More Common, More Diverse, and Misunderstood
It’s estimated that adult ADHD affects more than eight million people or up to five percent of Americans. (1)
Due to increased awareness of ADHD and what it looks like in people who are not boys/men, researchers are finding that the condition can be just as common in girls/women or genderqueer folks, but it may show up in different ways. (2)
While men are known to display increased hyperactivity and impulsive behaviors, women, on the other hand, demonstrate more inattentive traits. Sometimes, the experience of “hyperactivity” may be more internal or less obvious.
Having a trusted clinician by your side to offer the right resources, accommodations, or therapeutic referrals can make a drastic difference in your quality of life.
Our Offerings
At Neuron & Rose, we offer two tailored ADHD assessment options: Focused and Deep Dive. Both are conducted by licensed clinicians who specialize in neurodivergent-affirming practices, many of whom are neurodivergent themselves (ADHD, AuDHD, or Autistic). Our evaluations are grounded in the latest best practices, ensuring the same level of expertise, care, and validation—no matter which option you choose.
The Focused Offering
Ideal for individuals looking for a streamlined and efficient ADHD evaluation, our Focused Offering minimizes paperwork and face-to-face time (about 5 hours) while still providing professional insights and clarity. We offer two levels within this option: a diagnostic letter or a brief report.
✔️ Clinical Interview
✔️ DIVA-5 (included in both Focused and Deep Dive options)
✔️ 1-hour feedback session to review your results and discuss next steps
What are your options with a Focused Offering?
1. Focused Diagnostic Letter ($2,000): A 1–2-page summary outlining your DSM-5-TR ADHD Traits Profile, various screening tools, and the importance of an ADHD identification. It includes screening results and concise information that can be shared with medical professionals, employers, or disability offices.
2. Focused Brief Report ($2,400): A 3–5-page report that expands on the diagnostic letter, adding more context about ADHD traits, executive functioning challenges, and self-advocacy strategies. It provides a deeper dive into the impact of ADHD and how it relates to your experiences.
The Deep Dive
For those who need comprehensive support, accommodations, or a more detailed understanding of their ADHD profile, our Deep Dive assessment includes an in-depth evaluation with 8-10 hours of face-to-face time.
✔️ Personality inventory and standardized measures (BRIEF-2, CAARS, MOXO CPT, or other relevant ADHD assessments)
✔️ Clinical Interview
✔️ Up to 2 hours of feedback session time to discuss results, accommodations, and personalized recommendations
What happens at the end of the Deep Dive?
Deep Dive Report ($4,000): A 15–20-page comprehensive report offering in-depth insights, a thorough review of results, detailed explanations of executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation, and ADHD-specific strategies. It’s ideal for those needing formal documentation for accommodations, workplace support, or personal clarity.

Please reach out to discuss which diagnoses can be explored as part of this assessment and which may require an additional fee. Some explorations that require an additional fee are as follows: OCD, Dyslexia, Autism, and Learning Disabilities.

Still unsure which offering is right for you?
Our Evaluation Pricing Model
We want to ensure that as many people who need affirming care are able to access it. We have created a Pay What You Can model that supports our community while also taking into account the skills of our providers. In order to support these Pay What You Can spots, we have to maintain a certain amount of Full Pay spots, therefore, there may be a wait! We also have abbreviated evaluations at a lower cost.
Frequently Asked Questions About ADHD Testing…
Can you do this over tele-health?
Absolutely. It will be a combination of interviews, the MOXO computerized test (only completed in the Deep Dive option), gathering information from others in your life if you so choose, and other tests/tasks completed with the examiner via telehealth. You can complete everything from the comfort of your own home.
What if it’s not ADHD, will you tell me what else it could be?
Yes. If we think there is something else that has contributed to your experiences, we may explore that with you and possibly do further testing. Or, we will let you know so you can explore it on your own, perhaps in therapy. If you have previous diagnoses or feel you have been misdiagnosed, please let us know, and we can dive into that. Feel free to ask questions throughout.
Is it worth it? Can I just self-diagnose?
Though there are many benefits to a formal assessment, it is not required by any means. Self-diagnosis is valid. You get to decide what is best for you and your needs. We can discuss more about the pros and cons of each method on the consult call and figure out what’s best for you.
I want an assessment, but I can’t afford the cost up front.
We definitely wouldn’t want that to hold you back. Our practice offers flexible payment options with payment plans through Care Credit and reduced rates for financial hardships. Just let the administrative team know, so that you can fully understand your options. Can you formally diagnose adults with autism without having parents involved?
Will my college/psychiatrist/whomever accept any diagnoses you provide?
With both our Deep Dive and Focused Offerings, it is never guaranteed that any outside provider/entity will recognize a diagnosis given by us. Please check in with any providers or institutions to see any requirements they have about the evaluation process that you engage in.
Can you explore other diagnoses? What would be the procedure if you want to explore other differentials?
In our deep dive, yes, we can both explore and diagnose, if appropriate and added on to your evaluation offering. This would occur after a discussion with your clinician, so please inquire about this option in your inquiry or during your initial meeting with the clinician. In our Focused, due to the nature of this offering, we can explore, but we cannot add additional diagnoses. If you want something fully explored, then a deep dive evaluation is what you are looking for!
What if I don’t get an ADHD Diagnosis? Was this even worth it? Do I get anything out of it?
Absolutely! Regardless of the outcome, our evaluations are designed to provide valuable insight into your strengths, challenges, and next steps. If you don’t receive an ADHD diagnosis, we’ll work with you to explore self-accommodations, personalized recommendations, and resources that align with your unique experiences. While not getting a diagnosis can feel disappointing or a relief, it’s also an important step toward understanding yourself more deeply and identifying what support may be most beneficial for you. Our goal is to ensure that you leave the process with greater clarity, validation, and actionable strategies to navigate your world with confidence.
Understanding Your ADHD is a Step Toward Self-Acceptance and Empowerment
At Neuron & Rose Psychological Services, our neurodivergent-affirming ADHD assessments are designed to honor and validate the way your brain works—not to "fix" or change you. Our goal is to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your unique strengths, and the challenges you may face in a neurotypical world.

Your ADHD is not a flaw—it’s a different way of thinking, feeling, and engaging with the world.
An ADHD evaluation can foster self-awareness, self-compassion, and better communication in your relationships.
